Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I found mine on sale via Cettire and purchased them that way!
Placed my order on April golden goose dirty shoes 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book

How is the fit?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
How comfy are they?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
